WHO WE ARE

Signal Radio (s1r.app) — a network of live community rooms (music, films, coding, art, learning, and more) with chat, member profiles, and a points system (RAD points).

WHAT WE COLLECT

• Account basics — your Signal Radio ID and email address (used for login links and nothing spammy), plus any extra emails you add.
• Things you create — avatars/personas (name, mood, bio, image, color), chat messages (room and direct), track submissions and votes, connections, and anything you submit through forms (e.g. Room beta interest).
• Presence — whether you're online, when you were last active, and an approximate country, shown to other users in the room.
• RAD points ledger — a record of points earned (signup, referrals, and similar).
• Device storage — guests' names/colors and player preferences live in your own browser's localStorage, not on our servers.

HOW WE USE IT

To run the station: accounts and login, chat, playlists and voting, RAD points balances, moderation and safety, and service emails (like magic login links). That's it — no ads, no third-party ad trackers, and we never sell your personal data.

PUBLIC vs PRIVATE CHATS

• Public (room) chat — messages you send in a room, along with your profile/persona details and presence, are visible to everyone in that room, including guests, for as long as they remain in the room's history.
• Private chats (DMs) — visible only to you and the person you're chatting with. They're stored solely so the conversation can be delivered and shown to the two of you, and they're never surfaced to other users. Anything you share inside one — text, links, images — is available only to its two participants.
• Deleting a private chat deletes its data instantly — the messages are removed immediately and permanently, not archived.
• Media privacy — each uploaded image lives at a long, random, unguessable web address rather than behind a login check. The storage bucket itself can't be browsed, listed, or searched, and we never publish that address anywhere — in practice, a DM image is only ever shown to its two participants. Deleting a chat deletes the file itself, permanently — it isn't hidden or archived, it's actually gone.
• No built-in downloading — Signal Radio has no download or save feature for shared media. Nobody viewing an image or gif in the app has an in-app way to save a copy, which gives you more control over what you choose to share. (This can't stop someone from taking a screenshot — no app can promise that.)

WHERE IT LIVES

Our infrastructure providers process data on our behalf: Supabase (accounts, database, file storage) and Cloudflare (hosting). Pages also load fonts from Google Fonts, and track playback uses YouTube embeds — their own policies apply when a track plays.

RETENTION & DELETION

Content is kept while your account exists; some room messages expire and are deleted automatically. You can remove your own content in the app, and you can ask us to delete your account and its data entirely — contact us below.

CHILDREN

Signal Radio isn't directed at children under 13, and they shouldn't use it.

THE DEAL

Using Signal Radio means you agree to these terms. The station is young and evolving — features may change, break, or disappear, and the service is provided as is, without warranties of any kind.

HOUSE RULES

• Be kind and respectful. Keep the room safe for everyone.
• No scammers, bots, spam, harassment, impersonation, or illegal content.
• Submit tracks that fit the frequency, and only content you have the right to share.
• One person, one account — no gaming referrals or votes with duplicates or automation.

YOUR CONTENT

What you post stays yours. You give Signal Radio permission to host and display it as needed to run the service. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules, and you can stop using the station or request account deletion at any time.

THE VIBE MAKERS

Nobody likes walking into an empty room. So every Signal room opens with its Vibe Makers — a small cast of house regulars who hang around, keep the frequency warm, and show newcomers how the place works until enough real people are in the seats. They're not real accounts and they aren't people: they're part of the furniture, and they're ours. They never DM you, never touch your RAD points, never ask you for anything, and never pretend to be a specific human. As a room fills up they quietly step back and let the crowd take over. (And yes — the house rules ban bots. Those are the ones pretending to be human to scam or spam you. The Vibe Makers wear a name tag and only exist to keep the room from echoing.)

TRACKS & COPYRIGHT

Track playback happens through YouTube embeds; the music itself streams from and is governed by YouTube. If you believe content on Signal Radio infringes your rights, contact us and we'll take it down promptly.

RAD POINTS

RAD points are a virtual points system with no cash value. They are not a currency, token, or investment. Balances may be adjusted, reset, or discontinued at any time, and nothing on Signal Radio is financial or investment advice.

LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Signal Radio and its operators aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, and our total liability is limited to the amount you've paid us to use it.

CHANGES

We may update these terms and the privacy policy above; changes take effect when posted here. Continuing to use the station means you accept them.
